Lester has been at Cooper Rapley since 1992 and was made a partner in 2000. He has considerable expertise in a wide range of law but also emphasises the importance of utilising the considerable pool of knowledge available from Cooper Rapley's entire legal team.

Lester acts for a number of local authorities and is a council member of the Manawatu branch of the New Zealand Law Society.

Originally from a Manawatu dairy farming background, Lester enjoys strong ties with his local community. He is a trustee for the local Christian Camp and is involved with a local youth club. He is also the honorary solicitor for a number of non-profit organisations.
