Ruth Oakley

Ruth Oakley has been working as an employment law specialist, in the civil litigation team at Cooper Rapley since September 2005. Prior to that Ruth worked for a large public sector organisation as its Employment Relations Advisor.

In her in current role, Ruth deals with all aspects of the employment relationship for both employers and employees. She has extensive experience in that role which involves advising on restructuring, redundancies, poor performance, long term sickness and injury, privacy, stress, misconduct, collective and individual bargaining, and termination procedures generally.

Ruth has a particular interest in mediation and alternative dispute resolution, and also attends the Employment Relations Authority, District Court and High Court if required.

Ruth's main practice areas are:

  • Employment agreements
  • Disciplinary processes
  • Performance management
  • Restructuring and redundancy.

LL.B / B Com.
