Paul is a partner in the firm’s commercial team with his experience spanning across corporate and commercial work, mergers, acquisitions and corporate governance. He represents a range of clients from Australian mid-market companies to European, UK and US headquartered multi-nationals.

Paul joined CR Law in November 2019 after working in Sydney for over 19 years.

  • Mid-Market | Industry - Agri-business (AUS): Advising Australia’s largest independent wool broker on a series of acquisitions, joint ventures and divestment transactions and providing corporate governance advice to its board.

  • Co-op | Industry - Agri/Food (AUS/Sweden/Denmark): Lantmännen Unibake (Sweden) is a global leader in bakery products. Paul advised Lantmännen on the acquisition of a complementary bakery business in Melbourne, representing a key strategic move for expansion into the Australian market. Paul also advsied on its business integration needs including localising its commercial contracts and advising on its arrangements with Australia’s two largest supermarket retailers.

  • Mid-Market | Industry - Govt (AUS/UK): Advising on a series of acquisitions of complementary businesses and advising the board on a variety of Federal government programs and contracts in the work, training, education and disability space.

  • Global | Industry - Technology (AUS/NZ/UK/Canada): Acting on the sale of a NZ/AUS software solutions group Pegasus Systems to Constellation Software Inc., a major Canadian listed acquirer and manager of vertical market software businesses.

  • Private | Industry - Hotel/Construction (AUS/China): Advising Sydney based hotel construction company on its management buyout and subsequent capital raisings.

  • Private | Entertainment: Rolling Loud (AUS/USA): Rolling Loud is the world’s biggest hip hop festival – in conjunction with Rolling Lord US, Paul advised the Australian arm of Rolling Loud on the staging of its inaugural Australian hip hop festival event in Sydney.

  • Global Leader | Industry: Automotive: Continental AG (AUS, Germany, Malaysia, USA): Advising Continental AG on a succession of acquisitions of complementary businesses in Australia including the strategically significant railway engineering specialist Vulcanite which secured major metro transit contracts in San Francisco, Washington and New York.

  • Mid-Market | Industry: Events (AUS/UK): Advising leading UK based global events company Terrapin on the acquisition of multiple Sydney and Melbourne event/exhibitions companies in the accounting and financial services industry.

  • Medical Media (AUS): Lead legal advisor and project manager on Medical Media’s merger with Swift Networks Group Limited, an ASX-listed media company.

  • Australian mobile telecommunications company: Advising the peak industry body representing Australia’s mobile telecommunications industry on their membership and funding arrangements and a range of commercial contracts with suppliers, partners and mobile telecommunications companies.
