Nick is an accomplished litigator specialising primarily in resource management, local government matters, administrative law, and civil dispute resolution. He appears regularly before councils, tribunals, and the courts, and is motivated by the strategic and analytical challenges that come with complex legal work.
Nick is a legal advisor for various local authorities and private clients in his resource management work. Notable achievements include guiding clients through significant projects, such as the comprehensive sectional district plan review for Palmerston North City Council, the Te Ahu a Turanga – Manawatū Tararua Highway, district water supply and allocation resource consents, wastewater treatment plants, and renewable energy projects. Nick’s successes also include the resolution of contract, equity, trust disputes, and estate litigation.
Away from the desk, Nick spends most of his time in the pool as a marathon swimmer, bringing the same long‑haul focus to both swimming and legal work.
